Dr. Albert Karam

Dr. Karam was born and raised in rural South Louisiana. He  completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in Chemistry  from McNeese State University in 1977, and then attended  Medical School at LSU Medical Center Shreveport. After  graduating in 1981, he moved to Dallas where he received his  pediatric training at Parkland Hospital and Children’s Medical  Center. After one year of Internship and 2 years of Residency, he  was asked to serve an additional year as Pediatric Chief Resident,  teaching young residents and medical students and managing the  house staff of the hospital.

He has been in private practice since, spending one year at  Medical City, then 14 years in Richardson. He has been at his present location just north of Medical City since October 2000.

Dr. Karam is married to Mary Emma Ackels, and together they have 6 children, 5 girls and one boy- and is grandfather to a really cute kid!

Jeanine R. Cook, M.D.

Dr. Jeanine Cook

Dr. Cook attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (presently University of Louisiana at Lafayette) where she received her BS.  At LSU School of Medicine at New Orleans, she achieved her Medical Degree.  She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.  Dr. Cook is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and  the Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics (FAAP).  She has been in Pediatric private practice for 24 years and has worked part-time with Dr. Karam for the last five years.  Dr. Cook is married to an Orthopedic surgeon with three children: two attending college and one senior in high school.



Julie Lin, M.D.

Dr. Lin was born and raiseDr. Lind in Arlington, TX.  She received her B.S. in Biology from M.I.T. in Cambridge, MA, and then her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.  After completing her pediatric residency in 2006 at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx, NY, she stayed an additional year as chief resident and then another as a faculty attending before returning to Dallas.  She lives with her husband Rich and her 2 young children, Maya and Marcus.
